Program Description:

Roehampton University
Roehampton Univ
Roehampton University has its history in four teacher education colleges, the oldest of which dates from 1841. The four colleges came together in 1975 to form Roehampton Institute London, which achieved degree awarding powers and then federated with the University of Surrey in 2000 as the University of Surrey Roehampton. In 2004, it changed its name to Roehampton University.

Roehampton is comprised of 4 colleges, 3 of which (Froebel, Digby and Southlands) are adjacent to each other by a 5 minute walk.  Dance, Drama, and Education are in Froebel; other humanities depts. and Business, in the adjacent colleges. Whitelands College is Life Sciences and is reached by shuttle. There are about 8,000 students studying from undergraduate to PhD level in eight academic schools.
Eligibility: 3.0 cumulative GPA; declared dance major or minor; completion of 3-4 courses in dance performance.

Some of the course offerings include:
 Dance Composition
 London as a Resource
 Choreographing for Groups
Dance & Modernity: Sociolinguistic Approaches to the Study of Dance
 Anatomy & Kinesiology for Dance

Roehampton is located six miles southwest of central London, with all its cultural and social attractions, on a beautiful parkland campus.
Housing:  Accommodation is available at all three of the University campuses, with options for self-catered housing or catered (meal plan in dining commons). The majority of student residences are made available to new undergraduates and international students. All rooms have internet access and many are en-suite. The cost includes utilities bills and contents insurance.
Estimated Program Price: When you study abroad for a semester or a year for academic credit, you will be charged tuition by Washington University at a rate equivalent to tuition on campus for the corresponding time period. WU tuition covers only the educational and administrative costs of the study abroad program. WU tuition does not cover any study abroad program costs for room, board, transportation, personal expenses, passport or visa fees. Such costs are charged separately either by WU, the program sponsor, or a third party.
