MBA, Junior, and Senior students who are interested in venture capital, entrepreneurship, international business, and/or small and medium business management may apply to participate in this 3 credit course (MGT 450C/550T). Introduction to Entrepreneurship or MBA entrepreneurship platform enrollment is a suggested prerequisite.
Between January 3rd and 10th (2013) several selected students will work in Israel. While there, they will work directly with Israeli startup companies on specified consulting projects. WUSTL students will be matched with local IDC students (enrolled in their version of the course) to compose a 4 person cross-university team. After working a week on-site, students will return for the spring semester and continue to work on their projects remotely. The expectations for the depth and quality of the consulting projects are professional level. The written version of the reports will be due in March, and an oral presentation of the reports will be made in April.
Students will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses (estimated at $3,000 - $4,000). Organized touring in Jerusalem will be planned for the 3rd and 4th. Students will work in Herzliya (outside Tel Aviv) from the 4th through 10th.
12 students will be accepted into the program. Applications should include a brief explanation of interest and a current resume.
