  Dublin, Ireland
Your journey begins in the cultural center (and the heart) of Ireland: Dublin. Just think, you'll be studying in the City of Literature that's home to such literary greats as George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, William Butler Yeats, and Samuel Beckett! Stroll around Dublin to see how the historic architecture blends with modern design. Enjoy the energetic music scene and lively theatre. And when you need to get away, you'll discover outdoor adventures just a short train or bus ride away.

Dublin has a unique and lively atmosphere that attracts millions of visitors every year. The city is steeped in culture through arts, theatre, and folklore. Art galleries and museums, such as the National Museum, are available. Students can visit Croke Park to see a football match or Lansdowne for some rugby. Dublin has restaurants, bookstores, street markets, and ethnic restaurants all over. There are numerous pubs and clubs for the nightlife scene.

Housing: Private Student Residence -You will live in Binary Hub, a private student residence in Dublin. You will live in a private fully-furnished single bedroom and bathroom, and will share a kitchen and common area with up to four other flat-mates which may be of mixed gender. However, you will be able to indicate on your IES Abroad Housing Form if you have any accommodation request in relation to this. The private student residence also has WiFi Internet access along with other amenities. No meals are included.  Binary Hub is approximately a 20 minute walk to Trinity College Dublin.

Student Life: On campus, there is a wide range of activities to suit all tastes. All students are welcome to join student clubs, sports clubs, and student government. There are also countless special events and guests on campus.

Whether it's an orientation program that makes you feel prepared, housing that is well-located and comfortable, or the field trips that take you to places off the beaten path--we're all about our student services. To find out more specific details, click here and select the Student Life tab.

On-Site Support: IES resident director and staff. Office of International Student Affairs at TCD.

Program Admission:  In addition to your WashU approval, admission to this program is at the discretion of Trinity College Dublin.  The admission review can take quite some time and it’s possible students may not hear their admission status until a month before the program begins.

Estimated Program Price: When you study abroad for a semester or a year for academic credit, you will be charged tuition by Washington University at a rate equivalent to tuition on campus for the corresponding time period. WU tuition covers only the educational and administrative costs of the study abroad program. WU tuition does not cover any study abroad program costs for room, board, transportation, personal expenses, passport or visa fees. Such costs are charged separately either by WU, the program sponsor, or a third party.
